Evans and Greeley grew up side by side. Evans was settled in 1867, two years before the Union Colony founded Greeley, and it was named for John Evans, Colorado’s second territorial governor. Today the two cities share a border, a school district, and a lot of the same housing, which means a lot of the same deck problems.
