Milliken is a small town with a long history. It was incorporated in 1910 and named for Judge John D. Milliken, and its 1911 Daniels School is on the National Register of Historic Places. The town shares a school district with Johnstown, and it has grown with newer neighborhoods like Settlers Village and Colony Pointe.
Milliken decks are a mix of older wood decks and newer ones, and both take a beating from Northern Colorado sun and winters.

Milliken sits at about 4,810 feet, southwest of Greeley. Here is what we fix most often:

Keeping it simple

When the whole surface is worn out, deck resurfacing puts new boards on the existing frame. When the frame itself has failed, we rebuild it on footings dug at least 30 inches deep, below the frost line.
Milliken decks near Centennial Lake or Ehrlich Lake may see more moisture and insects. Keep an eye on board ends and posts near the ground.
